The Amber Museum is well worth a visit as much for its collections as for Villa Bentz, a magnificent Victorian mansion. The Costa family, owner since 1977, and American palaeontologist, Brandt Ghepart, were behind this remarkable exhibition area devoted to Dominican amber, that can proudly hold its own with that of Santo Domingo Museum.
