The Centro de Arte Ceballos-Estrella contains a permanent collection of the work of Yoryi Morel, a self-taught artist who was known from 1932 as the painter of Dominican daily life. He founded the School of Fine Arts of Santiago de los Cabarellos. His consummate work is an ongoing meditation on human life and light. The centre also organises temporary exhibitions of work by contemporary Dominican artists.
