The Loma Quita Espuela Science Reserve is home to the virgin forest that covers the slopes of the Cordillera Septentrional, an enormous variety of plants and wildlife and no less than 60 waterways. Spread over some 70km², created to preserve the forest threatened by mankind, it is strewn with countless signposted paths. The aptly named cloud path provides a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains at the Pico Quita Espuela (943m).
