Punta Cana, tucked away in between the gorgeous and as yet unspoilt Playa de Juanillo, and Cabo Engaño, stands on the most protected section of the Coconut coast and is not as densely populated in hotels. The site is made up of a long tarmacked, almost manicured road, off which the luxury hotels (bookings only) lead. The beach is hidden by the hotels and is thus inaccessible to the passer-by. Don't bother looking for the village either, it never existed.
