The Manuscript Museum boasts an incredible selection of the treasures of the Library. The collection is so large that the hundred or so manuscripts on display at any one time are regularly rotated. A few rare pieces remain, however, such as the facsimile of a roll fragment from the ancient library discovered in a tomb in El Fayum, the original of which is in Austria. There are also two large embroideries from the Kaaba and Mecca.
