Located on the River Nile and formerly known as Jet Narty, Kitchener Island is considered Aswan's second major island, and can be reached mainly by felucca. The island was given to Lord Kitchener as a gift in recognition of his efforts in the Sudan Campaign. Lord Kitchener transformed the island into a small, exotic paradise boasting lush vegetation, including some rare plants.
Board a felucca and sail to Kitchener Island to visit the Botanical Gardens. Stroll along the palm-lined alleys in the company of your knowledgeable guide, and marvel at the rich variety of flora surrounding you.
