The venue resembles a hangar but the museum houses 10 Greco-Roman mummies (including two children), which are among the most remarkable finds from the necropolis of Bahariya Oasis. Note the painted plaster faces, the stone sarcophagi and sculpted blocks, some of which bear Greek characters, proof of Hellenic presence in the region.
