The museum houses objects unearthed during digs at the oasis, dating from prehistory to Islamic times. A few standout pieces emerge, such as the Mastaba of Khentika, the cardboard masks, the polychrome limestone group statue of Ima-Pepi II and his wife Isut, the sarcophagus of Badi Bastet, a fine collection of ba birds, 7C-9C fabrics and 18C icons.
