Bibendum

Located close to the Libyan border, the Siwa Oasis lies in a depression which is watered by literally hundreds of springs. So it comes as no surprise to see the countless palm and olive trees that have made Siwa such a verdant spot since time immemorial. Siwa also has many salt lakes, a throwback to when it was covered by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Don't miss Sihaya Festival, which takes place on Mt Dakrur during October's full moon.
