The industrial town of Pargas (limestone quarries) is surrounded by the idyllic water, rocks, fields and forests of the Turku archipelago. Inside its 14C church dedicated to St Simon, note the octagonal brick pillars adorned with decoration and the 15C wall paintings. In the 17C, the sacristy was converted into a chapel (the Agricola chapel) for the Finnish population. Note also the 17C Bible given to the parish by Per Brahe.
