This museum located next to the castle on the island of Riihisaari has a section dedicated to regional history (ground floor), including an interesting model that illustrates the pratice of floating logs down rivers: a technique that is very widely used in the region. Temporary exhibitions are held regularly on the first floor. Your entry ticket is also valid for visiting the boats moored behind the museum, which used to transport cargo and passengers.
