The Gustavian interior includes the ladies lounge (1^st floor), with mural paintings (1790) by King Gustav III's favourite architect, and a fine ballroom decorated with trompe l'oeil. English-style gardens planted with rare species surround the manorhouse. The white building (1867) to the left houses a hotel, and the neo-Gothic outhouse, a restaurant. A bridge over the river leads to the lodgings of the foundry workers, charming red, wooden houses that have been renovated to accommodate visitors. The manor chapel (1757) is also made of wood.
