Ajaccio
: Michelin's recommendations
The birthplace of Napoleon, “Imperial” Ajaccio retains many memories of its famous son. The city is the capital of the Corse du Sud and the headquarters of the Corsican Regional Government (1991). Visitors are drawn here by the city’s attractive bay, fascinating Musée Fesch, delightful market in César-Campinchi square and Tino-Rossi port (named after the singer and actor who was also born here) and its fishermen. Enjoy views of the town lit up at night from the Jetée de la Citadelle.
