Designed in the 18 C on an old estate of the Bishop, this vast area, crossed by the Avenue du Maréchal-Leclerc comprises three sections; the Petit Jard, a country garden in the style of Napoléon III with a flower clock extends along the Mau canal which cuts into the « Watergate » of the Chateau du Marché. The Grand Jard is a large esplanade planted with chestnut trees. The English garden, designed in 1817 is bordered by the Marne.
