Ensisheim : Michelin's recommendations

The town's heyday was in 1135, when it became capital of the Habsburg possessions in Alsace, Baden and northern Switzerland. The few fine houses still remaining from the Gothic to the Renaissance bear witness to those days of glory, which the advent of the Thirty Years War soon brought to an end.
