The tower tells the story of the Castellane family, including the famous collector, Boni de Castellane. There are 237 steps to the top of the 60m tower offering a panoramic view over Epernay and the vineyards. The museum is mainly devoted to the evolution and preparation of champagne: scenes illustrating barrel making, tending the vines, grape harvest and pressing. There are also rooms devoted to printing, regional fauna and crafts (basket and glass making) and a collection of labels.
