Since 1976, the people in charge of this centre have devoted themselves to stopping the migrating instinct of the Alsace storks which were on the verge of becoming an endangered species for several reasons. Hunters, electric lines, the drought in Africa, etc. Here you will discover nesting and breeding of baby storks and several couples moving about freely. Over 200 storks are fed at this centre. In 1991, an otter reproduction centre was founded. This species had disappeared from French rivers.
