Le Hohwald : Michelin's recommendations

The name “Hohwald” applies to both this village and its surrounding area. A highly fashionable spa resort in the early 20C, it remains a popular holiday centre. Lying 20km southwest of Obernai, previous visitors include Sarah Bernhardt, Marshal Joffre, General De Gaulle and Chancellor Adenauer. The surrounding countryside has many castles and monasteries, perfect for excursions whatever the season.
