From 1702 to 1729, Lunéville was the favoured place of residence of Léopold, Duke of Lorraine. A great admirer of the Sun King, he commissioned Germain Boffrand to build a modest “replica” of Versailles in Lunéville. Unfortunately, a part of Lunévill..

Created of the start of the 18C by Yves des Hours then improved by King Stanislas, this park was then ransacked and left abandoned for a long time. They have recovered the French style gardens with their small woods, statues and ornamental lakes.

Boffrand began this and Héré finished it in 1747. The two towers support statues of St Michael and St John Nepomucene. Inside see the wood panelling of the entrance tambour, a pieta of the 15C and some works by Girardet
