Occupying the city hall, this museum explains the history of Mulhouse and its surrounding area over the past 6 000 years. A walkway provides access to the Grenier d'Abondance (Grain Store) where an impressive collection of toys is on display. The gallery of popular art explores everyday life since the 18C, and features traditional interiors and the living rooms of bourgeois houses (including a bed concealed as a painted sideboard).
