In the old St Denis Abbey, there are art collections from the Renaissance to today. You must see the portraits of the German Princes by the two brothers Cranach, the series of landscapes by Corot and the collection of French and foreign ceramics. On the first floor you may notice the strange grisaille canvases with enhanced colour. Perhaps they were painted for the passage of the King at the time of a coronation ceremony.
