Rixheim : Michelin's recommendations
6km east of Mulhouse on the Basle road, Rixheim was the seat of a commandry of Teutonic Knights; in 1797 Jean Zuber set up a factory for wallpaper which came to be exported all over the world. Today the Museum of Wallpaper is one of a number of technical museums in the Mulhouse area.
