Saint-Dizier : Michelin's recommendations

Surrounded by beautiful woodland, this important metalworking centre was famous for its foundries, forges and steel works. In 1900, the master of Art Nouveau Hector Guimard chose the smelting works here to create his ornamental casts, which were so popular with the locals that they decorated the façades of their houses with them in abundance.
