Seven 20m-high limestone blocks stand on the slopes of the right bank of the Meuse. Mangeot, an artist from Saint Mihiel, sculpted a Holy Sepulchre in the one known as the Calvary in 1722.
This huge abbey with a Louis XIV facade has been justifiably nicknamed «The Palace». It now houses the Benedictine library and the Museum of Sacred Art.
