Soultz-Haut-Rhin : Michelin's recommendations
This old town was established around (and derives its name from) a salted water source, which remains in existence today. It has a number of houses dating from the 16C-18C period with tower staircases, age-old porches and inner courtyards. Enclosures used to encourage storks to start breeding again have been particularly successful here. The birds have returned to perch on the town's chimney pots and visitors will be able to readily spot them.
