Turckheim : Michelin's recommendations
To get to Turckheim, take the road through Niedermorschwihr; beyond, a small town enclosed by ramparts with old rooftops and a bell tower with multi-coloured tiles hoves into view. With its storks' nests and Brand grand cru wine, it is difficult to imagine that Turckheim was once a battlefield. However, it was at the gates of the town that Turenne mercilessly crushed the Imperial invaders in 1675.
