Vitry-le-François : Michelin's recommendations

Rebuilt after its destruction in 1940 and located at the foot of chalky Champagne, the capital of Perthois owes its name and its checkerboard layout to François I. Its traditional military role has given way today to more peaceful boating activities over the smooth water surfaces of the River Marne and canals which link it to the Rhine and Saône.
