Since 1980, some 70 traditional old houses have been patiently taken down and meticulously rebuilt here to form an open-air museum of Alsace. Grouped together by rural area, they provide an insight into the region's traditions in the 19C and 20C. All the senses are stimulated: tasting around the press and bread oven, touching the warm flanks of the plough horse and cold clay of the potter, and discovering the know-how and customs of the region.
