The two portals of the North façade are among the major attractions of this Benedictine abbey. The stunning sculpted decoration of the great portal dates from the 12C. Particularly remarkable is the tympan depicting Christ, enthroned and surrounded by the symbols of the four evangelists; the Virgin Mary, attended by two angels and the twelve apostles, can be seen on the lintel. The small portal is also noteworthy for the rich detail of the scenes it portrays: the Wedding Feast at Cana, the Transfiguration of Christ and the Sacrifice of the Old Testament.
