The city’s 15C belfry hosts a variety of animations that conjure up the Renaissance period. Three fascinating animations transport you back to this little-known period via the epic story of Austremoine, the son of an Issoire watchmaker. There are also short documentaries on key Renaissance events (the advent of printing, the Great Discoveries etc) as well as frequent temporary exhibitions. If you climb to the top of the belfry you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the city.
