This château was built in the 15C and enabled to control the gorges of the Ardèche. In 1703, it was stormed by the Camisards (rebel Calvinists). Its architecture is based upon Renaissance Florentine palaces, as the courtyard shows. The spiral staircase and great hall on the first floor are remarkable. Finally, this château makes an excellent vantage point.
