A large number of works of art are displayed in the old Salle des États du Velay, including an 11C silk cope and a remarkable 15C parchment. Other exhibits include “Genesis: from the creation of the world to the Resurrection”, panels carved by Pierre Vaneau (1653-1694) of Montpellier, the fleur de lys tapestry by the bishop Jean de Bourbon, and a Holy Family attributed to the Master of Flémalle.
