The steep Montée de la Grande Côte has undergone superb renovations. The pleasant park is plotted so as to capitalise on the lovely views over the St Paul, St Jean and Fourvière quarters. Various species grow in tiers at the foot of the lawns, from aromatic trees and shrubs, and a collection of Japanese cherry trees, to classics such as mulberry trees producing red or white fruit in memory of the silk weavers. In the lower part are a few mullioned windows, vestiges of the Renaissance houses.
