Put up by Simon Maupin This is a large rectangle of buildings which surround a main courtyard which has two levels separated by porticos, the façade which looks onto Terreaux square (la place des Terreaux was renovated in 1674 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and Robert de Cotte who crowned the side pavilions and the belfry with a large dome. In the centre the tympanum supported by atlases is endowed with a statue of Henri IV.
