Montluçon : Michelin's recommendations
The old quarters of Montluçon are clustered around the Castle of the Dukes of Bourbon, but it has extensive industrial areas to the North. The town has taken care to preserve its industrial and cultural heritage and its Cité des musiques vivantes (live music centre) should give a new dimension to the town which is already home to an enthralling Musée des Musiques populaires. The peaceful Cher Valley, just outside the town, with its villages, castles and churches, is worth a visit.
