Saint-Bonnet-le-Château : Michelin's recommendations

Situated in the Hautes Chaumes region, the village of St-Bonnet is full of character, with its Gothic church and narrow medieval streets winding their way uphill. At the top of the hill stands the collegiate church, which boasts lovely views from its terrace. Once an old Roman oppidum, the “pearl of the Forez” stands in the centre of an area which extends from the Forez valley to Mont Pilat. It is now a busy industrial centre, renowned for its boules production (a million sets annually).
