Saint-Julien : Michelin's recommendations

This charming winegrowing village was the home of Claude Bernard (1813-1878), the father of modern physiology. The son of humble winegrowers, he had considerable influence on modern medicine. His house has been turned into a museum by the Lyon medical institute, the Institut Mérieux.
