Beyond Auriac-de-Faverolles, visitors can embark on a number of scenic excursions along the D13, taking in the flooded valleys of the Truyère and Bès rivers. Once across the Bès, the road climbs upwards, offering views (to the right) of two rocky islets - the summits of the two famed peaks which characterise the Cirque de Mallet cirque - and the village, which was submerged when the valley was flooded. From the Mallet belvedere, admire the fine view of the Grandval reservoir.
