This area is an ideal spot for a summer stroll and a popular location for model aeroplane enthusiasts. Leave Murat-le-Quaire on the D609 and follow the winding road as far as the car park. From here, a path leads up to the high pastures and an information board. From the top of Banne D’Ordanche, a 1 512m-high basalt peak, there is a splendid panoramic view over the Dordogne valley and the surrounding mountains, as well as over the Sancy, the Puy de l’Angle, Dôme mountains and Limousin.
