Whether winter or summer, the international Olympic ski resort of Chamrousse seduces all-comers. The cable car whisks you up to the Croix de Chamrousse belvedere, which looks out over the mountains of the Belledonne massif. This tall mountain peaking at close to 3 000m comprises vast stretches of land suitable for hiking, in particular near Lac Achard and Lac Robert, and the Lac Luitel nature reserve. There you can witness the development of a high-altitude peat bog and its ecosystem in a site which is similar to that of certain regions in Lapland.
