The westernmost of Velay's phonolithic sucs looks out over a vast basaltic plateau. The panoramic view from a height of 1 388 m reveals the Lignon valley to the north, while to the east there are the Monts du Vivarais. To the south, you will see the Boutières mountain range which peaks at Mt Mézenc, and to the west, the Meygal massif.
