Housed in the gunpowder store of Bastia's citadel, the museum showcases an ideal Corsican village constructed by René Mattei using some 10t of material and populated with moving figurines. You will see the communal oven, the sheepfold, the Genoese bridge, the chestnut watermill, the church, the chapel on a hill, and various craft shops. The village, which represents an entire lifetime's work, has an undeniable naïve charm.
