These alignments are composed of 1029 menhirs which are set out in parallel lines 1120 m long and 100 m wide. From the side footbridge one may observe the progress of the menhirs' sizes from East to West. A dolmen gully is situated in the south-west. On the Manio Plateau, the alignments cross over the remains of a 35 m long barrow. On this plateau, a 3 m height menhir has 5 snakes engraved on its base. Five polished axes were buried at their feet: was this mere chance or human will ?
