Isles of Glénan Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
You can travel to this exceptional archipelago of the Glénan Islands by boat from April to September. The Island of St-Nicolas has some houses, and the International Diving Centre is a breeding ground. Near the windmill, the island's main electric power supply, seaweed pits are a testimony of the soda production activity, which began at the end of the 18C. The small Island of Brunec to the north and the Island of Loch to the south with its chimney, a vestige of an old seaweed processing plant are now private property. The islands used by the Nautical Centre of Glénan are: Penfret, with a lighthouse of the same name, Cigogne, recognisable from the remains of the 18C fort and by the annex of Concarneau's Maritime Laboratory, Bananec, which is next to St-Nicolas during the low tide, and Drénec. The Island of Giautec and the uninhabited islets are protected reserves where seagulls, magpies, oyster catchers, and cormorants reproduce.

    Pros

Les caraïbes à la bretonne, unique, sauvage et magnifique. Cet archipel au sable blanc et à l'eau bleu turquoise est l'un des plus beaux sites de Bretagne!
