Dol-de-Bretagne
: Michelin's recommendations
The traditional seat of Brittany’s bishops, Dol is sited in a cliffside location which in the 10C was on the seashore. Today there is a fine view from the top, of the whole region fromCancale to Mont-St-Michel. Halfway between the latter and St-Malo, Dol offers visitors a rich architectural heritage: the Gothic cathedral of St Samson has fine 13C stained glass; half-timbered houses; and old private residences.
