Bibendum
The circular layout of this church is inspired by the plans of Saint-Sépulcre de Jérusalem. Built in the 11C, it had to be rebuilt (with the exception of the apse and crypt) in 1862, when its bell tower collapsed. The apse is an extremely fine example of Romanesque art. You will also notice the stone Renaissance high altar, part of a former jube, against the façade. The first crypt (19C) contains a touching Entombment dating from 1500; the old crypt, a vestige of the original church, has remarkable capitals and two 15C tombs with recumbent figures.
