Laid out in the centre of a vast dyke that separates the privateers' city from the mainland, this port has four floating basins protected by a floodgate. Outside the main port maritime stations protect the ferry traffic and the fast shuttle boats. There are daily sailings to Portsmouth, Jersey and Guernsey. There are pontoon moorings under the ramparts for the pleasure boats.
