Half-fortress, half-Renaissance palace, this château is set in sprawling grounds, surrounded by fortifications with walls 12m thick. It is not known which event led to a significant part of the principal abode ending up in ruins. The remaining part constitutes a museum of Breton art presenting fine furniture from the 17C and 18C. A wide, paved terrace runs between the Pavillon de l'Horloge to the chapel (fine wooden vault), providing an opportunity to enjoy a fine overview of the main courtyard and surrounding buildings.
