Created by Peter Wolkonsky, starting in 1965, these botanical gardens are part of the romantic realm of an undulating 18ha estate on the edge of the River Jaudy. Paths weave among the majestic trees, copses and sweet-smelling flowerbeds. Flower-decked terraces, lawns with a delicate pebble trim, an Italian-inspired grotto, and a Chinese pagoda: a pleasure for the senses! Waterfalls tumble down as far as the River Trieux below.
