This magnificent site, so admired by the actress Sarah Bernhardt, has been superbly maintained by the Conservatoire du Littoral association, who acquired it in 2000. Well-marked hiking paths (including the GR34) provide access on foot as far as the lighthouse, which can be reached at low tide, as well as various buildings dedicated to Sarah Bernhardt.
